The external awards, bursaries, and scholarships, listed below, are available to students beyond the scholarships and bursaries Humber College offers. They are provided and administered through external government, corporate, or community organizations.

Definitions

Scholarships: Primarily recognize and reward general academic excellence, although extracurricular activities, community involvement, and financial need may also be considered.
Bursaries: Primarily awarded based on financial need, although academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and community involvement may all be considered.
Awards: Recognize specific academic achievements and/or other particular accomplishments.

  • Entrance awards reward accomplishments prior to commencing studies at Humber College, and are normally allocated to tuition and related fees after acceptance of admission.
  • In-Course awards reward achievements while studying at Humber College.

CIBPA Education Bursary Foundation (Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association)

Criteria: Open to full-time college and/or university students at the undergraduate, graduate or postgraduate levels who are Canadian citizens or Landed Immigrants permanently residing in Canada, and are of Italian origin. It also provides assistance for students who are not of Italian heritage, if they are pursuing curriculum majors in Italian studies. Criteria: The scholarship is open to emerging creative talent from across Canada wanting to enter into the advertising industry. Entrants must be non-professional Canadian residents over the age of 16. All fields of creativity related to the advertising community will be considered. Criteria: Job-Applications.ca is offering a $1,000 scholarship to any full-time or part-time student enrolled in an accredited post-secondary Canadian institute.
