*The advanced standing outlined in this chart is a general guideline. Diploma graduates may be required to take courses offered in lower semesters in order to meet the overall degree learning outcomes. Specific program grade point averages (GPAs) and subject requirements are required for admission. View the diploma pathway page for details.

** Diplomas must have the same program outcomes as the Humber diploma in order to be eligible for the block transfer.

$2,500 DIPLOMA TO DEGREE TRANSFER STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

Humber awards degree scholarships to students entering any Humber degree program who have completed a two- or three-year diploma from a publicly funded college in Ontario. Students who have achieved a program GPA of 80% or better will be awarded a one-time scholarship of $2,500. Diplomas do not have to be related to the degree program of choice and are not tied to the eligibility for advanced standing or transfer credit.

The overall GPA in the related diploma program must be a minimum of 65% in order to be eligible for the degree block transfer. Applicants must also possess the required English and Math courses. Please see the Pathways section of the diploma program pages for more details.

Applications should be submitted in the final semester of your diploma. June 1st is the deadline for September intakes and October 1st for January intakes. Admissions is based on availability.

Students who have graduated from a related diploma program more than 5 years ago are still eligible to apply for the block transfer, but your curriculum will need to be reassessed by the academic school and additional reach back courses may be needed.

Students may be eligible to apply for individual transfer credit if they don’t meet the block requirements.  Please contact transferopportunities@humber.ca for more details.

Please note: Not all academic schools at Humber grant degree level credit for diploma level course.

If you do not meet the block requirements, you may be eligible to apply for individual transfer credits for the Liberal Arts & Science Breadth Electives if you have a course grade of 65% or more. Please email transferopportunities@humber.ca for more details.

Successful applicants with an overall cumulative grade point average of 80% or above in their diploma program will be automatically awarded the $2500 scholarship once they have paid their tuition deposit.

There will not be an admission test to get into the degree program form the diploma.
