On January 17th an unforgettable evening of music and celebration took place at The Royal Conservatory’s Koerner Hall in downtown Toronto.
This event was the grand finale to Humber’s milestone 50 th Anniversary and provided us with an opportunity to celebrate our dynamic history.
The evening opened with a pre-concert reception followed by a special concert that featured some of Canada’s finest musicians. Guests enjoyed performances from Kurt Elling; Rik Emmett; Laila Biali; Rich Brown’s band, rinsethealgorithm and from Humber’s faculty big band directed by Denny Christianson featuring Pat LaBarbera. The night concluded with a post-concert after-party, where musicians and guests mixed and mingled.
Proceeds from the concert will support the Humber 50th Anniversary Scholarship Fund. For many, the academic journey is only possible as a result of the financial support they receive from awards and scholarships.
Awards and scholarships make a difference in the lives of our students and ensure they can focus on their studies with piece of mind and without financial worry.
Your support of the concert will help Humber students get the most out of their education, stay in school and graduate. The gift of education is truly transformative — a catalyst for fuelling the infinite possibilities that come with learning.
