Humber College continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and the potential impact on our community. There are currently no identified cases of COVID-19 at Humber. All classes, campus operations and activities are continuing as scheduled.

We are taking the COVID-19 situation seriously and the health and well-being of the entire college community is of paramount importance. We will continue to provide regular updates on this website.

The College has activated its Critical Incident Response Team, which is responsible for COVID-19 oversight, planning and preparation. Humber has a pandemic plan and multiple business continuity plans in place, should they be required.

While the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared an international public health emergency, the current risk to Canadians remains low. We maintain ongoing contact with Toronto Public Health and have been advised that there are no additional actions required, and to follow regular respiratory illness protocols and prevention strategies.

In-person exams at Humber continue to be planned as scheduled. In the case where an exam is postponed or cancelled at Humber or any other partner location, we will work to make alternate arrangements, and will communicate any changes with candidates.

We will no longer require candidates to provide doctor's notes to reschedule their OBC examinations and we are waiving the 21 day rescheduling policy until further notice.

Humber has implemented increased cleaning protocols at our test centre, and are using a chemical that kills both coronavirus and norovirus. Soap and hospital-grade hand sanitizer dispensers are being monitored and filled regularly. Candidates in other areas should consult the website of their local institution for more information on protocols in place.

Overall, as we are in the winter flu season, we ask anyone visiting or working in the Humber facility at 30 Carrier Drive to:

  • wash your hands as frequently as possible
  • when you sneeze or cough, cover your mouth and nose with a disposable tissue or the crease of your elbow and then wash your hands
  • stay home if you're feeling ill
