Shonah Chalmers
Chef Shonah Chalmers is an advocate for sustainable food practices and lifelong learning. With a Culinary Management degree from Humber College, she holds red seal trade papers and a CCC (Certified Chef de Cuisine) accreditation. With culinary experience including fine dining and international competitions, Chef Chalmers has been an educator at Humber for twelve years and has earned recognition as the Culinary Federation Central Region Chef of the Year and the Worldchefs President Medal of Recognition. As Vice Chair of the Worldchefs Feed the Planet & Sustainability Committee, she spearheads global initiatives while mentoring and supporting chefs worldwide.
Ellaine Hazel Chong
Ellaine Hazel Chong, a passionate baker and cake decorator with over six years of experience, started as a DIY mom crafting special birthday cakes for her kids. Through self-teaching, recipe books, and magazines, her hobby blossomed into a home-based business and she later expanded her skills by working part-time as a pastry cook at a catering company. Ellaine is in her 4th semester in the Baking and Pastry Management program to refine her craft and pursue her dreams as a certified Pastry Chef. She takes great pride in bringing her client's visions to life and making their celebrations sweeter and more memorable.
Millie Escudero
Millie Escudero is a Baking and Pastry Arts Management student who finds baking therapeutic. Growing up in the Philippines, she fell in love with the smell of fresh bread and discovered the fun of baking as a child in school. She thrives in the kitchen when surrounded by passionate people and sees food as central to Filipino culture and connection. Millie hopes to blend her baking skills with her content creation to inspire others.
Shanique Facey
Shanique Facey is a Culinary Management set to graduate this year. As a passionate aspiring chef, Shanique dreams of owning her own private chef and catering business, combining culinary expertise with a love for travel and food exploration. She’s committed to learning from diverse cultures, having already studied abroad in Italy and France, and will be further enhancing her global perspective with upcoming culinary experiences in Japan and Taiwan this May. With a deep interest in food media, Shanique aspires to break into TV and media production, envisioning her show on platforms like Food Network. Her goal is to inspire and connect with audiences worldwide through her love of cooking, culture, and the art of food.
Connor Faulkner
Connor Faulkner, a Culinary Management student, found his passion for cooking after working at his second job as a line cook at a steakhouse. The ability to feed and make people happy while creating art is what drives him in his passion. He is inspired by many people in his life, and seeing those close to him succeed through hardships gives him the strength and motivation to work through the mental and physical challenges he faces in the kitchen. He hopes to be able to produce his recipes for the world one day, although the means of which remain undecided.
Jhoushelle Allexie Gamazon
Jhoushelle Allexie Gamazon is in her fourth semester of the Culinary Management program. Her passion for cooking was inspired by her childhood in the Philippines, where her grandparents' comforting meals ignited a love for food. Cooking is her way to connect with people and celebrate diverse cultures. Jhoushelle is excited to continue honing her skills, blending tradition with creativity, and sharing meaningful culinary experiences.
Lihini Himara De Silva Manikkuwadura
Lihini Himara De Silva Manikkuwadura is a second-year Baking and Pastry Arts Management student. Baking has always been her passion, and she draws inspiration from the elegance of French and Western pastries. Originally from Sri Lanka, she loves how food brings people together and tells a story through flavour and tradition. Her dream is to open a café and host a food show, sharing her love for baking with people everywhere. She’s always excited to learn, create, and turn simple ingredients into something special.
Alina Mohammed
Alina Mohammed is a passionate baker and aspiring entrepreneur with over six years of experience creating innovative and beautifully crafted pastries. As a student in the Baking and Pastry Arts Management program, she is dedicated to mastering both the artistry and business of baking. Alina’s expertise lies in developing unique flavours, perfecting techniques, and bringing joy through high-quality, handcrafted treats. With a vision of opening her own bakery, she continues to refine her skills and push the boundaries of pastry creativity.
Nadia Ribeiro Seabra Eiras
Nadia Ribeiro Seabra Eiras, a Culinary Management student, discovered a passion for gastronomy through moments shared with family and friends. Inspired by a grandmother and mother who always brought flavour and tradition to the table, she strives to refine culinary techniques to enhance the authenticity and richness of flavours. In Brazil, food is at the heart of relationships, making every meal a moment of connection. Driven by this essence Nadia aims to explore new cultures and expand her culinary knowledge.
Yu Wang
Yu Wang is a second-year Culinary Management student. With four years of experience as a contract food blogger and having travelled to 20 countries, Yu is passionate about combining the knowledge and flavours she’s encountered on her journeys with the professional skills she’s gained at Humber. She strives to be creative, authentic, and insightful in the culinary industry.
Carlton Wiggins
Carlton Wiggins is a fourth-semester Culinary Management who brings classic culinary techniques to a modern palate. His passion for cooking ignited during his childhood in Kingston, Jamaica where he had bold flavors and traditional cooking techniques. He aims to elevate everyday dining into an extraordinary experience.
Claire Turner
After many years working in serving and bartending, Culinary Management student Claire Turner made the switch to the back-of-house in September 2024, to pursue her passion of cooking. Claire dreams of one day opening a restaurant of her own, where she can share her love of good food and create memorable meals for others. Being born and raised in Toronto has allowed Claire to experience many different cultures and their cuisines, and has inspired her to travel and learn as much as possible about culinary scenes around the globe. Claire has just begun her culinary journey and is eager to learn and improve every day.
