The Humber College Community Employment Services is committed to meeting employer hiring needs by providing qualified, prescreened candidates from all disciplines and professions. A current and comprehensive database of resumes ensures that our services respond quickly to employer staffing needs.

Services for employers, at no cost to you, include:

  • access to a wide range of job seekers with a variety of skills and experience
  • assistance from qualified staff who can send you pre-screened and qualified candidates for you to interview
  • customized recruitment events tailored to meet your specific human resource needs
  • on-line job posting board
  • development of training plans and financial support may be offered to offset training costs
  • an employer signing bonus for training a job seeker as a new apprentice
  • post-placement support to ensure retention

Canada Ontario Job Grant

This grant provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the It will provide direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their employees. It will be available to businesses, regardless of size, with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees, and will:

  • Provide up to $10,000 in government support per person for training costs.
  • Require employers to contribute one-third of the total costs. There will be additional flexibility for small businesses to provide an in-kind contribution towards their share of the costs.
  • Require training to be delivered by an eligible, third-party trainer.
