Family and guests, plan your day and make graduation a memorable experience.
Plan your Day
Convocation ceremonies will take place at the Toronto Congress Centre. The venue is accessible by car and bus. Venue parking is available and free for all guests.
Guests should plan to arrive together 1 hour prior to the ceremony time and proceed to the ballroom to be seated no less than 15 minutes prior to the ceremony’s scheduled start time. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis and each graduate is entitled to bring 2 guests. In the interest of all concerned, ushers will not permit seats to be held for late arriving guests or personal belongings.
Once the capacity in the ballroom has been reached, all remaining guests will be seated in an overflow room to watch the ceremony via direct video stream. Guests in the overflow room will be provided a ticket and will be seated in the ballroom should there be seats remaining. Due to the length and nature of the Convocation ceremonies, we strongly suggest that if possible, parents should avoid bringing babies and young children with them.
No food or drink (other than water) is allowed in the hall. Water stations will be available onsite and there will be a reception after the ceremony with light refreshments.

Capture the Moment
We ask that all guests stay in their seats for the duration of the ceremony. Grad Images will take on stage photography during each ceremony and photos can be ordered online.
Live Internet Stream
Would like to attend, but unfortunately are not able to physically be there? A live stream of Convocation has been developed for your convenience and to share with your loved ones. Links to the live stream, as well as archived videos from past ceremonies.
After the Ceremony
A reception will be held in Convocation Hall for students and guests immediately following the ceremony. Stop to take a fun photo with the decorative balloons and enjoy light refreshments and beverages. Graduate flowers and mementos (including degree frames) will be available for purchase. Graduates will receive their credential following the ceremony. Photo ID is required to confirm your information.
Convocation Flowers will have gifts including flowers and t-shirts, which will be available for sale at the venue or can be pre-ordered. All pre-orders can be picked up at the Convocation Flowers' booth on the day of the graduate's ceremony.
