In this course, students explore the function and value of literary agents and rights salespeople in the content supply chain, emphasizing contract knowledge and focusing on the practicalities of the business. Throughout, there will be an emphasis placed on student debate and discussion and a seminar approach to current issues in the industry. The course offers an extended look at the digital world and tech issues as they relate to author livelihoods.
