December 3 marks the National Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day dedicated to promoting awareness, understanding, and action to create a more inclusive and accessible world for everyone. At Humber Polytechnic, we are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable environment where all members of our community feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed and thrive.
This day is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of inclusion and accessibility and to recognize and celebrate the many wonderful contributions of individuals with disabilities. It also serves as a call to action to address the barriers that persist in our communities.
The Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (EDIB) invites you to join us in our commitment to inclusion by participating in our upcoming Community Conversation: Disability & Accessibility: Unlocking Allyship to Build Truly Inclusive Spaces.
Join The Office of EDIB and Teresa Lee for an engaging session on Meaningful Allyship in celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Together, we’ll explore how to foster inclusion, remove barriers, and advocate for accessibility in higher education and beyond. Through personal stories, interactive activities, and practical strategies, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of allyship and discover actionable steps you can take to create more inclusive spaces for everyone.
