Humber’s Construction Boilermaker Apprenticeship program provides the required technical and in-school training to become a boilermaker apprentice. You’ll also acquire the welding certifications that are required by a journey person construction boilermaker. Boilermakers are skilled tradespeople who build, install and maintain boilers, tanks and vessels – huge steel containers with thick, solid walls that hold liquids and gases which must withstand a great deal of pressure for long periods of time. Boilermaking requires a high degree of technical skill and knowledge along with good communication and mathematical skills. Physical strength and stamina will give you an advantage as will the ability to work at great heights.
