The Personal Support Worker - Accelerated program is made possible by the Ontario Government. Humber will offer the program for 180 domestic students in the spring and summer of 2021. Applications will be accepted in early March.
This program is delivered online and in an accelerated format, meaning that the delivery of the curriculum will be intense in nature, and students will fulfil the program requirements more quickly by increasing the number of study hours per week (25 – 30 hours). There is also a lab component that students must attend at Humber North Campus. Students must also be available on a daily basis for both the in-person lab classes, and scheduled online classes as the timetable outlines.
This program is designed in collaboration with industry, ensuring you are learning current and relevant material.
You will learn:

Priority for admittance into this program will be given to Ontario residents. Applicants from outside Ontario must commit to completing their placements in Ontario. This program is not available to international applicants.
As a student in this program, you will have a 12 week paid work placement in a long-term care facility. Graduates will enter the workforce with full credentials after just six months.
