The Goal of Personalized Questions

The SFQ process offers faculty the opportunity to develop 3 personal and unique questions – labelled as Question Personalization (QP) within the Blue product. This enables faculty to find out information about new teaching approaches, foundational practices that may be over or under used or innovations you are trying in your classroom. These questions are open-ended, thus we are expecting students to provide text-based answers. When planning your questions consider that the ideal question accomplishes three goals:

  1. It measures the underlying concept/idea it is intended to
  2. It doesn’t measure other concepts
  3. It means the same thing to all respondents
