If you can't face the thought of suffering through another uninspired role play and you are tired of traditional assessment tools, a simulation could be the answer for you. Participants will experience, first hand, how engaging a simulation can be and will learn how to incorporate inclusive design into the instruction, facilitation and assessment components of a simulation. Also included will be a demonstration of some innovative technology and CTL resources which serve to enhance the experience for your students. Providing a structured environment for students to practice improves understanding and application of concepts and is exciting and enjoyable for both you and your students. If you build it they will come (and learn).
- Effective strategies for designing, facilitating and assessing a simulation exercise with a focus on Inclusive Design Principles.
- How to integrate a simulation with industry partners.
- Using technology and CTL resources to enhance instruction delivery.
