“Playing in Motion" is a workshop for anyone who likes to move!
An experiential session that allows participants to create and explore at their own pace. Using theatrical exercises, story-telling and physical improvisation, participants will access their affinity for physical play as an expressive communication tool for teaching, working and everyday interaction. Activating and freeing the voice and body promotes increased physical and environmental awareness. Participants will discover a renewed confidence in physical and vocal communication — a valuable tool for teaching, mentoring and coaching. Take-away exercises can be shared with students or colleagues as icebreakers or as tools to enhance embodied learning, imaginative problem solving and creative thinking. The instructor will share exercises cultivated over 25 years by training actors, dancers and circus artists. These exercises are workable for all participants and are transferable to exploring any discipline, subject or environment.
