Grand Opening of Soupbar at Café LinX

Humber, IGNITE and Feed It Forward are launching Soupbar, an on-campus pay-what-you-can soup bar to address the pressing issue of food insecurity faced by many Humber students each year.

Students will get to try Soupbar for the first time at the grand opening on:

Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11 a.m.
North Campus, Café LinX (LX110)

The Soupbar will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Humber’s School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism, Humber Campus Services, IGNITE and Feed It Forward partnered to bring the concept of “Feed it Forward” to life within the Humber community. The mission is to alleviate student hunger on-campus and the objective of the program is to provide nutritious meals to any student who needs food. This is accomplished by redirecting unconsumed food not intended for resale to create delicious meals. Soupbar will help feed students and reduce food waste across campus.

The launch event will include remarks and a ribbon-cutting by Chef Jagger Gordon, Founder, Feed it Forward; Monica Khosla, President, IGNITE; and Jason Hunter, Humber’s Vice-President, Student & Community Engagement.
