Humber Food Learning Garden Opening

You’re invited!

On Tuesday, August 14, join Humber Arboretum staff and special guests for the official opening of the new Humber Food Learning Garden.

The HFLG is a space for students and community members to learn about sustainable urban agriculture, local food security, and how to grow and harvest their own fresh, healthy food in whatever space is available to them. It is a joint initiative of the Humber Arboretum and Humber College's Centre of Innovation in Health & Wellness.

On August 14 from 11 a.m. to noon we’ll be celebrating with:

  • hors d'oeuvres created by Humber College Culinary students using ingredients from the garden
  • live music performed by Humber College Creative and Performing Arts students
  • tours of the food garden with Humber greenhouse technician and edible horticulture expert Valeria Wuschnakowski

All are welcome.

When Tuesday, August 14, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where Behind Residence T Building, Humber Arboretum, North Campus

(Please note, in the case of rain the opening will take place inside the Centre for Urban Ecology)

The Humber Food Learning Garden was generously funded by a grant from TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
