1. Students writing in the Test Centre will be required to show photo ID in order to write a test (Humber Student Card, or Government issued ID is acceptable)
  2. Students will need to supply the instructors surname as all tests/exams are filed by instructor last name (please note: this does not apply to students writing admissions, placement or external testing)
  3. Students should arrive 15 minutes before their anticipated test/exam time, to allow for check in (please note: during peak seasons – midterms and finals – a wait time of up to 45 minutes may result)
  4. Students who arrive late to their test may not be compensated for missed time. Please note our closing times below. If you arrive too close to our closing time you may not receive the full allotted time for your test.
  5. The invigilator will assign a seat where the student will sit to write their test or exam.
  6. Students are expected to comply with instructions given to them by the Test Centre invigilator or staff of the Test Centre prior, during and after testing while in the Centre.
  7. Only authorized materials will be permitted at student work station (as outlined on the test/exam referral form), all other items will be stored in cubbies outside of the testing lab (please note: we recommend students leave valuables at home or in their locker, as the Test Centre is not responsible for lost or stolen items).  Students are permitted to bring valuables into the testing room, but they must be placed in one of our plastic zip bags and stored under the desk. 
  8. Students are permitted to take clear water in a transparent bottle into the testing lab (label removed)
  9. Students must adhere to the length of their test as outlined by the course instructor on the test/exam referral form.
  10. Electronic devices of any kind will not be permitted on the student’s workstation.  Cell phones, all watches, iPods and other devices will be required to be turned off, stored in a plastic content bag and placed under the student’s workstation for the duration of their test. 
  11. If a student is found in possession or accessing any unauthorized materials, devices, or participate in unauthorized behavior during their exam their test/exam will end and an incident report will be created and sent to the instructor for academic integrity violation review.  
  12. During a test/exam, students can only communicate with Test Centre staff.  The Test Centre staff cannot give any guidance or answer questions regarded to test/exam content.
  13. Students writing less than 3 hours are not permitted to exit the exam room for a restroom break, unless this is a noted accommodation from Accessible Learning Services. 
  14. Please refrain from wearing scented products to the Test Centre, we are a scent free environment
  15. Children are not allowed in the Test Centre and cannot be left unattended while any student tests.
  16. In case of emergency (fire alarm, lockdown), students are to follow the instructions of the Test Centre staff.
  17. The Test Centre will not administer tests/exams that are past their write date/time as outlined on the test/exam referral form.
