A great way to reduce your carbon footprint and lower your commuting costs is to carpool. The Office of Sustainability has partnered with Smart Commute to help the Humber community find more sustainable ways to and from campus. Find a carpool buddy by using the Smart Commute Tool for your main campus! Once you have a carpool buddy or group set up, you can get a Carpool Parking Permit and park in the preferred Carpool Parking spots that are scattered around the North and Lakeshore Campuses.

Emergency Ride Home Program
Fear being stranded on campus in case of a personal emergency or unexpected overtime? If you are part of a registered Humber carpool group and have Humber Carpool Permit, you are eligible for the Emergency Ride Home Program. Simply arrange your own ride home via taxi, rental car or public transit and submit your Emergency Ride Home claim (see below for details depending on whether you are a student or staff/faculty). Smart Commute will cover the cost of the fare up to a maximum of $75 per ride.
