Toronto, Ontario – June 28, 2017 – Humber will host the Etobicoke Lakeshore community on June 28, 2017 for “Kick-Off to Canada Day,” a night of free live entertainment for the whole family. The event will feature an outdoor concert by alumni band Ginger Ale & the Monowhales, as well as a variety of family-friendly activities.

Humber’s Lakeshore Campus will offer entertainment for all ages including:

Kick-Off to Canada will take place on Wednesday, June 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the newly renovated Lakeshore Commons Field at 19 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Drive.

“This event will mark the grand opening of the Lakeshore Commons Field, which has been newly renovated with financial support from Canada’s 150 Community Infrastructure Program. The renovated field will be a great resource for the community – it includes a stage, increased accessibility, additional seating, lighting, Wi-Fi access and outdoor teaching areas,” said Wanda Buote, Principal, Humber Lakeshore. "Humber is excited to be celebrating Humber‘s 50th Anniversary as well as the 150th anniversary of Canada’s Confederation and what better way than with the local community.”
