Humber’s First Year Experience (FYE) students climbed 1,776 steps with United Way to fight local poverty at this year’s CN Tower climb.
Among more than 8,000 climbers, students from the FYE program helped raise more than $9,800 to help thousands of people in need within the Toronto and York Region area.
The journey up 144 flights of stairs marked the 40th anniversary of United Way’s community-building, anti-poverty event, which raises funds and awareness for the organization's initiatives.
Humber has participated in the CN Tower climb in previous years as part of their program’s peer mentoring service.
Congratulations to FYE on their successful climb and participation in helping the community. For more FYE events, visit the program’s website: http://humber.ca/student-life/fye/events.
