On April 23, Showcasing Digital Storytellers inaugurated at the Humber Lakeshore Campus. Bachelor of Digital Communications degree program students showcased a variety of capstone projects on everything from podcasting to prototype apps.

Capstone projects give students the opportunity to demonstrate their area of interest. “It allows them to delve into that and spend a whole year working on a project they can add to their portfolio when they’re looking for work,” says Dr. Gemma Richardson, the program coordinator.

It also provides students with a platform to present their knowledge and skills to faculty, industry members and to a crowd of students. Sally, a student of the program, says, “the program made me career ready and taught me everything that I need to know to excel in this industry.”
