All training is done at the Humber College TRANSPORTATION TRAINING CENTRE at 30 Carrier Drive, Toronto, ON M9W 5T7

Online through the Humber Learners Portal with VISA, MC, or VISA DEBIT.

  • All classroom materials are included.
  • CSA approved safety shoes are mandatory but not supplied.

The AZ Program now qualifies for OSAP as a Micro-Credential but the DZ Program does not. Second Career funding may be available by contacting Second Career and enquiring about eligibility. If you meet their requirements, they will require you to obtain a letter of acceptance. Please email your request for a letter of acceptance to stephen.martin@humber.ca or matthew.meade@humber.ca. Some banks will give loans, reach out to them for their requirements.

The Driver’s Medical Form is available from DriveTest and can be completed by your family doctor or at a Walk in clinic. The medical cost is NOT covered by OHIP. Check with your family doctor or a “Walk-In” clinic as the costs for the medical can vary considerably.

The ‘A’ or ‘D’ Knowledge Test can be taken at the DriveTest. There is a fee payable to DriveTest you must also submit your completed medical Driver’s Medical Form there too.

Humber is a Community College (a public school) and therefore does not fall under the ‘Private Vocational Schools Act and Regulation.’ Humber College does not need to be registered or exempted.

A large number of our students and graduates have come to Humber later in life. Some have raised families and are now looking for a well-paying job, while others have left their previous careers and are looking for something new. Students range in age from the 20s to the 60s.

While for many years trucking was a field that was almost completely male, that has changed over the years. More and more women are now entering this field.

Comprehensive curriculum was developed by professionals in the industry and approved by the Ministry of Transportation. Curriculum is constantly evaluated with feedback from industry members.

You MUST meet the requirement below PRIOR to starting this program.

  • Hold a valid Ontario Class G license.

We RECOMMEND you meet the requirements below PRIOR to starting this program.

  • Have a minimum of 12 months of Canadian driving experience with a Class G2 or G license (not G1).
  • An understanding of English equivalent to an Ontario Grade 10 literacy level.
  • Pass a Ministry of Transportation driver's medical and visual examination.
  • Pass the Knowledge Test from the Ministry of Transportation at DriveTest.
  • No refund or transfers within 3 weeks of the start or during the program.
  • Requests to transfer must be made in writing and received no later than 3 weeks prior to the start of your program. Students may transfer one time between courses.
  • Canceling your program must be done 3 weeks prior to the start of the program. There is a $645.00 withholding fee to cancel.
