A Learning Organization with a Global Focus

Internationalization is a fundamental priority for Humber.

Chris Whitaker,
President and CEO

Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning

At Humber, we recognize that the world is growing smaller, and that borders are no longer barriers to success. For both our domestic and international students, the ability to interact within a globally connected economy will represent a key skill as they progress through their careers.

To that end, internationalization is a fundamental priority for the institution – ensuring that our students, faculty and staff are interculturally aware and, having developed a global perspective, are ready to make meaningful contributions to the worldwide marketplace.

Because of these efforts, which were formalized in our Internationalization Strategy in 2013-2014, our students, staff and faculty are learning valuable intercultural, personal and technical skills that will help them become citizens of the world and truly able to embody Humber’s core values of excellence, student focus, innovation and respect – no matter where they live.

From classroom curricula to global opportunities to work and learning abroad, and from international partnerships to welcoming more than 3,800 international students to our classrooms, Humber’s commitment to making globally-focused learning accessible to the entire community is truly something to be proud of.
