Invasives and Other Garden Challenges with the Etobicoke Master Gardeners

Dog-strangling vine grows in the foreground while a gardener works in the background

Join the Etobicoke Master Gardeners (EMG) and the Humber Arboretum online for a free workshop on invasive plants, pathogens, and other concerns. Learn the definition of an invasive plant, as well as the ecological problems they cause. Learn how to remove existing invasive plants, how to prevent new ones from moving in, and about suitable alternatives such as native plants to support the development of a healthy, diverse ecosystem. We will also touch on some of the newer pathogens, and diseases that infest our gardens.

This workshop is part of the Eco-Garden Community Workshop series hosted by the Etobicoke Master Gardeners and Humber Arboretum throughout the year.

When: Saturday April 13, 10:00 am to noon

Where: Online via Zoom

How: This event is free but registration is required as space is limited. Please register on Eventbrite.
