Occupational Health and Safety

Certificate of Achievement

Program Code: 10741

Online

Humber's Occupational Health and Safety certificate program prepares students for employment in the field of Occupational Health and Safety. Employers in Ontario require specialist staff who are knowledgeable about how to meet regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and who can minimize the high costs associated with accidents, injuries and environmental compliance. The program focuses on protecting the safety, health, and welfare of people engaged in work while fostering a safe work environment for the benefit of employees and the employer.

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) accepts this credential as one of the education requirements required for eligibility for Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) certification.

This program also fulfills, in part, the requirements of the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification. Individual courses may also be eligible for CRSP professional development credit (Factor 2).

Note: please visit BCRSP's website at bcrsp.ca for detailed eligibility requirements for the CRST and CRSP certifications.
