SolidWorks is a leading 3D computer-aided design application software with a user-friendly interface that focuses on developing the skills and knowledge required to work as a product designer. SolidWorks is used widely in many industries such as electronics, industrial machinery and heavy equipment, aerospace, automotive, construction, consumer products, life-science medical, manufacturing, and packaging. The SolidWorks Designer program includes a variety of design solutions such as advanced part modelling, sheet metal, weldments, photorealistic rendering, surfacing, detailed manufacturing drawings, animation and automation. Every course consists of class projects to provide practical knowledge about design work. Our instructors are very knowledgeable SolidWorks users with real-world experience.
Admission Requirements
In order to get the most from the SolidWorks Designer program, we recommend that you have some mechanical design experience as well as a good knowledge of the Windows operating system.
Additional Information
Note: This certificate program will prepare students to write the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam and the Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) exam. The certification exams are conducted by SolidWorks Corporation.
To receive your certificate, once you have successfully completed all the required courses in this program, contact the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology ceappliedtech@humber.ca for your certificate. Please make sure to include your first and last name, student number, program title and current mailing address in your email.
You are required to register for each individual course included in a CE program. You can register for a course by selecting it and following the instructions in the “How to Register” box.
Each CE program is comprised of a series of courses which may all have different fees. You are required to register for each course individually and pay the associated fees. Once you select the course, the fee is displayed in the “How to Register” box.
