Increasingly the public, private and non-profit sectors are required to build environments that are equitable, inclusive and antiracist in order to foster a sense of belonging for all their constituents. We know that a diverse workforce increases innovation, creativity, market share and profitability. Designed by leading equity, inclusion, antiracist thought leaders and practitioners, this certificate program will aid you in advancing an equity, inclusion and belonging mindset and actions.

Participants will embark on a journey to increase their capacity and competency in relation to Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) and antiracism education and application, strengthen their EIB and antiracism competencies and develop tools to embark on self and organizational transformation and accountability. This program is intensive and will be beneficial to persons working to advance EIB and antiracism organizational change in their environments.

Humber has partnered with HRPA to deliver this program as part of their professional development requirement.  The Transformative Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Leadership program will qualify for 60 hours towards the HRPA professional development activities required.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the program, participants will:
  • Acquire strong foundational EIB, accessibility, and antiracism theoretical frameworks to respond and analyze institutional change
  • Develop an acute awareness of Human Rights related legislative compliance to be able to position EIB and antiracism work within a legal framework
  • Lead EIB and antiracism change at the individual and institutional level to enable planning, facilitating, and evaluating processes of institutional and organizational change
  • Utilize an EIB and intersectional framework to develop an inclusive and antiracism institutional action plan and strategy
  • Build and customize a toolkit to manage resistance to EIB organizational change
  • Learn how to conduct periodic organizational equity audits to illuminate strengths, challenges, and gaps in the development and advancement of an equitable and inclusive climate for all
