Research Skills and Analysis

Certificate of Achievement

Program Code: RS11

Economics and the ever-changing information age demand higher levels of social and market research to better inform decisions leading to organizational success. The Research Skills and Analysis certificate program provides foundational knowledge and skills in research methods and analysis equipping graduates to take on rewarding careers in both the private and public sectors. This program will benefit research professionals who want to augment their skills or to obtain a post-secondary credential. This certificate will also serve those who need a skills upgrade in order to undertake research-related activities. You will gain foundational knowledge in research design, information retrieval and evaluation, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.

Upon successful completion of this certificate, students may be eligible for Prior Learning Assessment (PLAR) for course exemption in the full-time Research Analyst Graduate Certificate program at Humber College. PLAR will be based on previous experience in the field (demonstrated through a portfolio and interview), combined with the courses taken in the  part-time Research Skills and Analysis certificate. For more information, please contact Mary Takacs at mary.takacs@humber.ca

All students taking the online certificate will have the opportunity to attend several events organized throughout the year by the Research Analyst Graduate Certificate program.
