Humber Polytechnic’s Project Coordinator for Construction (PCC) micro-credential is a pioneering program designed to meet a critical need in the construction industry. Developed in collaboration with a Canadian construction leader, this course prepares learners for the essential role of Project Coordinator—a key position that supports Project Managers and Superintendents on large-scale construction projects.
This 16-hour micro-credential is a corporate training program offered on demand to construction firms. Pricing and timing are tailored to the number of learners and cohorts.
The PCC program reflects current industry standards and progressive practices, using technology to support the work, data-driven decision-making, and quality control. With limited existing dedicated training for this role in the industry, the micro-credential fills a significant gap, offering a unique opportunity for learners to gain job-ready skills and increase their employability.
Learners will engage in a blend of asynchronous theory modules and practical, in-class simulations, guided by industry subject matter experts. Through exercises such as managing RFIs, scheduling trades, organizing materials, and interpreting construction drawings, participants gain hands-on experience that mirrors real job responsibilities.
The course also includes a “Page Turn” exercise, where learners demonstrate their ability to extract project-specific requirements and coordinate effectively with teams, consultants, and stakeholders.
Ideal for those entering the construction field or seeking to transition into a project coordination role, this micro-credential provides a clear, structured pathway to leadership positions within the industry.
