Introductory Financial Accounting

Students will experience the complete accounting cycle, from the recording of transactions to the preparation financial statements used by external stakeholders, prospective investors and businesses to manage internal operations. Students will be provided detailed instruction regarding Balance sheets, income statements and statement of cash flows. Students will be able to compare the relationship between assets, liabilities and owners' equity. An introduction to partnership and corporate accounting will strengthen their understanding of the importance of accounting information to its users, internal and external. Students will gain an appreciation for the Conceptual Framework of Accounting and the objectives of financial reporting while integrating ethical professional judgment.
