Payroll Administration provides students with experience in understanding Federal and Provincial labour and employment standards, employment legislation jurisdictions and compliance; calculation of employee gross, pensionable, insurable, and taxable earnings; CPP, EI, Federal and Provincial income taxes and non-statutory withholdings and net pay; calculation of employer payroll taxes and premiums; Accounting for payroll and payroll information systems; Payroll remittance; Termination of employment and year-end payroll reporting.
