Families are highly complex systems that shape who each of us will become. In this context, students examine children and youth in a system of relationships with family, peers and the community and the impact these systems can have on addiction and mental health. Students examine concepts in child and adolescent development, theories of family dynamics and other systemic considerations. Students work with various assessment and treatment models for children, youth and families.
