In this course students discover sources of funding available to non-profit and charitable organizations within the addictions and mental health sector in Ontario. Strategies are explored for accessing government, corporate, private and foundation dollars as part of an organization's overall funding diversification strategy. Students critically examine social enterprise, for-profit philanthropic endeavors and the role of corporate giving in supporting the sector. Students identify gaps in the sector and write fundable grant proposals for innovative services and projects that are needs-based and client focused.
