Course Code: ADMH 4520
Academic Year: 2025-2026
This is the second of two courses in which students apply and integrate their skills and knowledge in the creation of an addictions and mental health research project. Students investigate a research topic based on the project proposal approved by their faculty advisor in ADMH 4020 Senior Level Thesis Seminar. Students write a scholarly research paper grounded in a case study summarizing research findings and discussing potential impacts on addictions and mental health practice. Secondary data is analyzed and interpreted with consideration given to building upon and applying current theories and practices that offers new ideas that promote innovation in the sector. Limitations to the work and findings are identified and recommendations for future directions noted. Students will present their research projects to a faculty panel to demonstrate acquired competencies as scholar practitioners.
