Introduction to Advertising: Media Management

This course introduces students to the Canadian media environment, including the role that media buyers and planners have in the advertising industry. Students examine media trends and terminology and investigate the strengths and limitations of all major media plus new and emerging digital media. Change and growth is a reality of the media industry. This course is designed to help the students keep abreast of the industry and will explore the rapid growth and evolution of the business, the players and the issues facing the industry.
