In this course, students examine the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system. Topics covered include: bones, joints and muscles of the trunk and upper and lower limbs. Students work both independently and in groups to identify and describe body structures on diagrams and anatomical models and to apply their anatomical knowledge to describe the major muscles and joints involved in basic exercises. Students also have the unique opportunity to learn in a cadaver lab to further explore musculoskeletal anatomy.
