This is a life drawing fundamentals course which introduces students to the qualities of the human body, including basic forms, gestures, bone structure and anatomy. In this course, emphasis is placed on the three-dimensionality of the figure. Students study structural gesture, anatomical landmarks, the skeletal system, structure, the head and features. The course also introduces students to rhythm, joints and the dynamic nature of human motion as well as foreshortening.
