Course Code: ARTC 5004
Academic Year: 2025-2026
An arts or cultural organization, whether not-for-profit or commercial, accomplishes its goals largely due to its ability to communicate to key stakeholders in a coherent and strategic fashion. Governments (federal, provincial, regional and municipal) and their agencies are a significant source of contributed revenue (grants, fee-for-service contracts). Arts and cultural organizations need to establish and manage relationships with their government partners and donors, sponsors and other stakeholders. The purpose of this course is to develop the skills required to develop and maintain relations with government and other stakeholders and to create effective grant proposals and cases for support for fundraising and sponsorships.
