The texts, readings and exercises in this course will provide the student with a best practice framework for understanding the function(s) of complex behaviour while utilizing a function-based behavioural assessment and classification system. Students will begin to integrate and link assessment results to prescriptive behavioural interventions emphasizing function-based replacement behaviours. Students will also learn how to improve the quality of assessments while considering the social validity, treatment integrity, and contextual fit of behavioural procedures as part of the assessment process.
