Proper nutrition plays a vital role in health, weight maintenance and reducing the risk of chronic disease. In this course learners examine the key elements of nutrition including the six classes of nutrients: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water. Special emphasis is placed on developing the knowledge and skills to understand where and how to access and use credible nutrition sources. This course supports learners in developing an in-depth understanding of the power nutrition plays on organizational productivity and a culture of well-being.
