In the Ethical and Legal Issues in Biomedical Sciences course students explore various philosophical and sociological concepts to prepare for dealing with difficult ethical dilemmas which may arise in the field. The course explores bioethics as applied to the use of technology and medical advances to maintain, modify, extend, and create life. Students gain an understanding of bioethics key concepts and decision-making procedures that can be used to determine and support moral courses of action.
