This course will provide students with the opportunity to become proficient in hand and foot care through demonstrations and practical applications in a lab setting and following industry required infection control guidelines. Students will acquire practical skills that are essential in performing manicures and pedicures; including paraffin treatments, hand and foot massage, French manicures, and shellac polish. Spa industry standards, professional attitude, client care and health and safety are stressed, as well as the correct use of spa implements and products. A strong emphasis is placed on the timeliness of services to ensure students capability and success in the workplace.
