This course will equip students with the tools to design and facilitate transformational education processes with communities utilizing leadership skills and critical pedagogies. Students will learn how to inspire others to embrace new ideas that lead to achieving the goal of positive social change. A variety of theoretical frameworks will be explored including transformational leadership, popular education, critical, feminist, queer, and decolonizing pedagogies. Theories will inform creatively inspired practice-based work in outreach, teachings, advocacy campaigns, consciousness raising, and action planning.
