Students gain knowledge and skills for facilitating change in communities by investigating conceptual foundations, models, and strategies in initiating, empowering, and supporting child and youth mobilization efforts. Students also investigate the evaluative processes that can be used to gauge the success of child and youth mobilization projects. This requires understanding various avenues for child and youth mobilization, clarifying goals of mobilization, and leveraging research findings to design experiences most likely to enhance child and youth mobilization efforts.
