This course explores the principles of colour theory as it applies to the cosmetic industry. Students will recognize colour variations in hue, value, intensity, and appropriately identify colour descriptors and codes as related to colour science. Students will learn how to compile a professional and creative visual presentation. Correct colour terminology will be used to identify colour relationships and palettes. Students will also learn the mechanics of body proportions as related to trends and styles of dressing. Students will learn how to apply fashion and beauty trends for all body types in order to advise clients.
