Course Code: CRIM 4004
Academic Year: 2025-2026
This advanced course is designed for students to work on a research project under the supervision of a faculty member. The analysis of current scholarship, formation of a research question, and the creation of a project plan encourages the ongoing development of critical thinking and leadership skills. Students will incorporate their knowledge of research methods, academic writing, and group networking techniques from previous course learnings in the program. Researcher positionality and ethical procedures are among the key lessons reviewed. Assignments include written submissions of research plans, in-class presentations, and reflective activities. The above objectives are met in either the thesis or capstone options of this course.
