Comedy Studio 1 is a dynamic, hands-on exploration of comedic performance, blending the art of acting with the techniques of sketch comedy, improvisation, and physical comedy. Students study to the rich history of comedy from classical times to modern-day stand-up and sitcoms. They develop skills in comedic timing, character creation, and improvisation, while learning how to craft and perform original sketches. Physical comedy techniques, including slapstick and clowning, will also be explored to enhance the physicality of performance. This course equips students with the essential skills to succeed in the world of comedy.
