Stand-up Comedy 1 introduces students to the fundamentals of stand-up comedy, guiding them through the process of writing, refining, and performing their own original material. Through workshops and peer feedback, students will explore joke structure, comedic timing, audience interaction, and personal storytelling. Emphasis is placed on developing a unique comedic voice and crafting material that resonates with live audiences. Students perform weekly at Yuk Yuk's Comedy Cabaret, and gain firsthand experience performing in front of diverse audiences.
