This course offers students an opportunity to pursue a key thread in media studies or digital culture through in-depth reading, writing, and discussion. Using a seminar format of engaged and responsive reading and conversation, students think critically about important books, authors, concepts, breakthroughs, and movements. Through major essay assignments, students practice developing arguments and deepening their writing and research skills for graduate school or other communication fields.
