Computer-Assisted Language Learning 5

Course Code: EAPC 105

Academic Year: 2025-2026

This online independent study course is designed for students whose first language is not English and who are preparing for entry into a post-secondary institution. It focuses on helping students improve their English-language competence and study skills, as applied to academic contexts, at the intermediate level upon completion of EAP 5 (equivalent to CEFR B1.1). Using multi-media technology and specialized language learning software, this course will provide students with individual practice in listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation leading to the development of level-appropriate language skills. The activities in this course will complement other English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course work in the level and help students develop their digital fluency skills. Note: Placement into a level of the program is done through test scores. Progression to the next level requires successful completion of the previous level.
